Do you need to use the manifest.exe with the newest version(s) of Xtreme Suite Pro? A lot of the discussions about the manifest are roughly 2-3 years old so it raises the question is that information out of date/relevant to the current versions. We are currently reviewing the Suite Pro 2006 and on a verge of making a decision to buying the licenses. Just in the past, the controls we used were from VbAccelerator which required the manifest.exe. We had a lot of painting problems and other preformance issues that is forcing us to find new controls.

Thanks

Yes, you do.  OR you can use the new SkinFramework control

You will not have painting problems with Codejock components.

Ok, just the other question is that I did add the manifest to an .exe that has codejock components but it won't run now. I did add the line for comctl32 in my project before compile it into an .exe.

I hope so that there isn't any painting problems when we are willing to shell out some money for it.

thanks

Having a license doesn't have any effect.  Most, if not all codejock samples have a manifest.  Do any of them not work for you?

all the examples work fine, I was testing out seeing what happens when you create your own .exe and put the manifest attached to it. I guess there is just something off.

yeah It was my module giving me issues... had to place the comctl call in my module and call it in the main sub to get it to work. I saw something about calling it in a resource file?
