A lot of the discussions about the manifest are roughly 2-3 years old so it raises the question is that information out of date/relevant to the current versions. We are currently reviewing the Suite Pro 2006 and on a verge of making a decision to buying the licenses. Just in the past, the controls we used were from VbAccelerator which required the manifest.exe. We had a lot of painting problems and other preformance issues that is forcing us to find new controls.

Thanks
