There is an Error on the Website, it says "new versions are released frequently"

I appreciate that the Codejock developer(s) is working on the Calendar control but while you are investing time in new product development you have forgotten about "product maintence" and this is something that I have paid for and expected to receive.

My maintence agreement expires next month and I find myself asking why should I pay for a maintence agreement that doesnt include any maintence.

In the last 7 months I can only remember ONE propper bug fix release and that was version 9.60 in Feb. I remember being very patient and not complaining about the four month wait to get that because the calendar control was iminent.

Now after at least 9 months in development the calendar control is still iminient and no maintence releases are forthcoming.

Can someone either update the website and correct the error or explain to me why it is that maintence has to give way to development?

Thank you.

Agreed.  The schedule for maintenance releases is entirely too long.  I have been waiting for a bug fix to something that was broken in the 9.60.1 hotfix.  I have since gotten a beta release of the control to address the issue, but I can't release that to my clients.

I would think that maintenance releases would be a simple thing to do.  Version the code that was used to build a particular release, and then work on new developement.  When issues arise, fix it in the new code as well as the versioned code from the last release.  Re-compile the last release every couple of weeks, as necessary, and re-release the fixes.

One good reason would be the new beta program. Since it started about 2 weeks ago, the Suite has been updated at least 3 times, each build contains the most up to date fixes.  Right now all of the software is listed as RC, which means it is a release candidate and not a true "beta".  Many hours have been devoted to testing on the RC products and about the only thing that separates them from being a release is the name.  Codejock wants to make sure that there are no major bugs before an official release, so this requires allot of testing

The beta program is a move in the right direction, and I hope it helps resolve these issue.

As a software distributor, however, we can't release beta versions of controls.  Many bug fixes, when applied to the original release, would not require a beta testing program.
