Hi,

Does support still believe we don't need an article how to use all CJ controls? And I mean especially the order in the form. Well, I think we do need one. It's getting weirder and weirder all the time. Problem is (maybe) combination of controls:
  1. SkinFrameWork
  2. DockingPanes
  3. MS toolbar 6.0

It is difficult to explain what is happening and why it does, but maybe CJ can... Now see attached project and run it, click Open frmViewEditor and close the form. Nothing wrong so far, right? Now add MS toolbar (6.0) to frmViewEditor, run the project again and click Open frmViewEditor and close the form. What the f**k  Crash ??? why is that ??? I added only a toolbar to a form... that shouldn't be a problem... Wait, maybe it's IDE problem let's compile, grrrrrr still the same

Note: this doesn't happen with MS Toolbar 5.0 or picturebox or whatever control

Thanks for looking into it

It gets stranger...I tried the sample, and the first time I added the toolbar and ran the program, it crashed (but only after I opened and closed the frmViewEditor form). I tried it again (and added     SkinFramework.AutoApplyNewWindows = True to see if that helped) and the app didn't crash. I removed that line to see if it would crash again, and now I can't get the program to crash the IDE at all (even when starting again from scratch). Mysterious.

The included EXE never crashes for me.

OK, I was wrong, I think I was adding the 5.0 toolbar accidentally. It seems to crash every time using 6.0 (faulting module is the SkinFramework control).

Hi

Jason, thanks for reply, I always have the feeling I'm the only one who is complaining

Oleg, thanks for looking at it. It's a weird "bug" indeed, I just wanted you to look at it. If you set SkinFrameWork control to FRONT in IDE it works OK... But rather have it fixed by you

But someone told me once that DockingPanes should be on top of all controls  and that's why I said you should write article about this. The order of CB, DP and SF in form does seem to matter if some things doesn't work as expected.

Thanks

Hi,

This issue is solved in modified V12.1 Beta. I tested this and this time I dragged every single control of CJ & MS on the form and it didn't crash anymore

Thanks a lot

Aaron - regarding your comment about being the only person who appears to complain --- I've been scratching my head for some time over IDE and compiled executable crashes when using dockingpane + commandbars + skin framework.  As a new user of CJ controls I naturally assumed it was me - and was about to post here.

So thanks for getting there first and apparently sorting the issue!
