Hi, The forum was closed for the whole 2 weeks. Quite a long time for a maintenance! Last posts before closure had included a lot of criticism, so I suspected Codejock team of censorship attempts. I'm glad it's working again. I can remember one company, which closed it's forums, and then only allowed moderated posts. Angry customers went to NNTP newsgroups and informed audience abut the bad behavior. |

I really hope the reason the forum was closed was not related to somebody wanting to wait until 8.60 was out to wave that around as an answer to some threads that were becoming angry. Software is going to have bugs, and bugs will get fixed, and it takes time to do that. I'm sure people understand that, but it would be quite childish for a company to close the forums for a reason like that. Maybe they should look into using a different vendor's forum software. I never seem to have any problems with PHPBB, but it requires PHP, and I bet Codejock doesn't have that installed here. Maybe we should start a user-based forum for programmers using Codejock tools someplace. I will volunteer the webspace if nobody minds PHPBB. |
