    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://forum.codejock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=203">Ark42</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 250<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 28 November 2003 at 12:36pm<br /><br /><br>I really hope the reason the forum was closed was not related tosomebody wanting to wait until 8.60 was out to wave that around as ananswer to some threads that were becoming angry.&nbsp; Software isgoing to have bugs, and bugs will get fixed, and it takes time to dothat.&nbsp; I'm sure people understand that, but it would be quitechildish for a company to close the forums for a reason like that.<br>Maybe they should look into using a different vendor's forum software.I never seem to have any problems with PHPBB, but it requires PHP, andI bet Codejock doesn't have that installed here.<br>Maybe we should start a user-based forum for programmers using Codejocktools someplace.&nbsp; I will volunteer the webspace if nobody mindsPHPBB.<br><br>]]>

Quite a long time for a maintenance! Last posts before closure had included a lot of criticism, so I suspected Codejock team of censorship attempts.</P><P>I'm glad it's working again. I can remember one company, which closed it's forums, and then only allowed moderated posts. Angry customers went to NNTP newsgroups and informed audience abut the bad behavior.</P>]]>
