Hi we have a custom button popup button on our toolbar that doesn't work anymore. It's similar to the SDISample in the commandbars. Seems like the code was changed or what not because it doesn't work in the SDISample example either.

  Set Control = .Add(xtpControlPopup, 0, "Find", -1, False) Control.BeginGroup = True Set ControlSearch = Control.CommandBar.Controls.Add(xtpControlCustom, ID_SEARCH_FORM, "Search Form", -1, False) ControlSearch.Handle = ctlSearch.Hwnd It comes up blank with the a icon. Any Ideas? |

   Hi,

ok... so I'm taking it that we are going to have to roll back to 11.1 when that worked.

I'm used to the auto-upgrade of vb projects for new versions. But how does one roll back to a previous version of CodeJock. Uninstall but what about the project file?

  Thanks

Basically uninstall codejock and then pull out the old .exe key and re-install it. Then pray to god if you have a fresh backup of your project from the day before so you can reload it!

Not sure what you mean.  I tried both multi-row and preview in the sample and it works.

Yeah I think we are missing something because our other projects do work! So I'm thinking it's with the new coding style we just started for our report controls. Thanks though

   Hi Fellows,

If you automatically modify our Project files when VB loads with a new version of the ActiveX suite, why not automatically make of back-up or OUR project, or at least a tools to convert a project to an earlier version

   Pierre,

This is something that VB automatically does for you... If you want to prevent this from happening, uncheck Project Properties > General > Upgrade ActiveX Controls.

You could just delete all the 11.1.2 controls... re-register all the 11.1.0 controls - and then manually edit (or do a find and replace) the vbp files

I think any developer can understand that things happen... you do one thing - bang - it breaks something else that you never thought it would - and just happens to be something that you personally do not use so you never notice....as it is there is absolutely no way humanly possible that you guys could inhouse test every single possible little thing for every release.
... that said - it would seem reasonable to release all new controls as beta... then for a minor fix - you can just fix it... once it seems all bugs are out... call it gold.
