Custom Controls in Command Bar Designer

   I'm trying to get a simple combo box into a toolbar. I am using the "OnCreateControl" message handler to do this and it all works fine when calling "LoadToolbar" with an explicit resource ID. Where it all falls over is when I try to do this by loading the XCB file from the command bars designer app. It looks like the "LoadDesignerBars" method doesn't send the create control messages. Is this the case or can I get a custom control into a toolbar using the designer app some other way...
