Initially the Command Bars and Docking Panes.
Excellent value for money.
My users love the results, I think the support from Oleg and his mates is first rate. I like the poll - why can't I vote?

Hi; I'm using the toolkit since its first or second release - I can remember version 1.2 or so. Initially I decided to use the toolkit because it merged many of the controls found on codeguru.com and also codeproject.com. The only components I'm still missing in the toolkit are "beautiful" looking charting components. |

I did a compare of sample apps with a couple of different frameworks.
the Codejock sample apps had noticeably better redraw speed (i.e. on resize) and were more polished than the other frameworks I looked at.
However I really miss having a decent tree-list control. A report control in tree mode is a bit ugly...

Initially I used a property grid from codeproject.com. However, I had to spend endless hours on fixing bugs and adding features. Then I tried the Codejock Property Grid, and as I replaced the old grid I could remove thousands of lines of code I needed previously, because the CodeJock Property Grid was so much better designed and easier to use.
This was the beginning when I realized it's better to just pay for a complete well-designed GUI library than to grab lots of classes from Codeproject/Codeguru. It has saved me countless hours of work :)

Hi Barto, you might want to reread your first sentence, especially the source of your first property grid

The main reason i've choosed Codejock is the availability of new generations UI components (especially CommandBars,DockingPane and Office2003 like Shortcutbar) for COM environments and platforms such as VB6. The superb stability, performance and support has allowed me to deliver a new user experience for my users. |

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who voted for perfomance. Sure, we all want features, but IMO features are worthless without performance.
A poorer performance means a less responsive UI and a poorer user experience. And when it comes to performance Codejock is currently the only game in town. |

ABuenger is absolutely right. Many of us continue to develop in native code partly to avoid the overall sluggishness of .NET WinForms interfaces. Performance and interface responsiveness are key motivations for our use of CodeJock libraries.
Aside from that, the features are great and the support is fantastic. The only thing I'd like to see improved is the documentation, but the samples and support do help to compensate for this weakness. Keep up the great work! |

We switched from using Infragistics because they dropped support for their OCX's. We don't have enough resources to convert our large application from ATL to .net so need an up-to-date set of OCX controls. |

Been using the toolkit for four years or more now, and I don't plan on changing any time soon.
The feature set is not matched by any competitor and we simply don't have time to create everything ourselves. Support is quite good and the toolkit has proven rather stable.

The features were good, and they WORKED!!! I tried 3 other skinning libraries before CodeJock's. In each one it took me less than 5 minutes to find a critical, identifiable bug. There is something funny about the CodeJock skinning that I can't quite put my finger on...I have to be carefull how I shut down my program...but other than that, I've never had one problem with it. The whole toolkit is generally robust, and the code is top notch. It's very very rare that I find a bug in CodeJock code, and when I do I CAN FIX IT!!!!!

+1 count me in.... I hate .NET (20MB runtime !!!) and hope that CodeJock will support native code for LONG LONG LONG time of course *with* source code which is essential when tracking down bugs.
Having said that I would love to see SyntaxEdit improved AND working faster.

I too made the switch from Infragistics to Codejock when Infragistics discontinued supporting their OCX's. It was the best switch in VB6 controls I ever made!!! Not only do CJ's controls look great on an application, their performance has been very good. Also, CJ's support and sales has been excellent!!! Right now there's not too much I would like to see added except possibly some sample code in the Help file documentation similar to that found in Farpoint's Spread 7 control. While Codejock provides a lot of sample projects with code and excellent support, sample code in the documentation would make it easier to understand some of the properties, methods, etc. and at the same time possibly reduce the number of questions submitted to CJ's support team. |

I've used most 3rd party controls on the market.
I've done a lot of winform apps with Devcomponents and a plathora of websites with telerik. I choose CodeJock for new version of an unmanaged bit of software. The support (particularly Olegs) is a big factor in keeping us loyal CJ's. |

Even though I am slowly moving to .Net and C# for application development I still have a lot of projects in VB6. That was why I chose XtremeSuite. Now I get all the features I always wanted in a single suite of controls and it really made my apps look better. I will continue with VB6 for some time still which is a second reason I chose XtremeSuite since it is still in development and the support is great.
So, even though I see that .Net controls are being developed please do not stop supporting ActiveX.. We are a lot of people who rely on these excellent controls for our development. Having said that, I am still going to buy the .Net version of the controls when there is a package available as great as XtremeSuite. Thank you Codejock! |

I have just tested the new MFC controls from bcg, I have compiled all the samples which come with the new MFC update, but the UI looks ugly and the classes are slow ! I don't regret the 2 year subscribtion to CJ, it's fast, flexibile and the UI controls look much better than BCG |

Hi, here is why I chose CodeJock:
- Better adaptation of windows controls than any other competitor (I researched a lot before I chose CJ) - Extended features for every single control... - Great performance of controls (even with .NET interop) - SkinFramework (and now comes with SkinBuilder.. great!) - March Discounts!!! And here is why I almost didn't choose CJ: - Lack of .NET toolkit version - support forum is simply very helpful but needs more CJ staff on the forum (thanks to Oleg and SuperMario but they don't have the time to answer all questions which is very natural) - Yearly subscription fee could be around 100 USD (which is more reasonable... at least for me : ) |

Main reason - reputation. I'm a member of the ASP and CodeJock seems to be held in high regard by other members. Other than that, the product (Command Bars) has all the features I need and a very responsive support forum.

The conversion from my old MFC doc/view app to XTKP was lightning fast - about 24 hours real time from start to finish.
Other packages that I evaluated were cheaper, but there were any number of glitches in GUI components - bad rows of pixels around the edges of tabs, etc, - these can take hours of work to chase down. The big defect is documentation. I would like to see unix man style pages for each function. |

I learned of CodeJock from one of my previous workplaces that used it. Although they were using an older version, I was impressed with it's capabilities, and investigated the current version on the site, since I was looking for something for my personal projects.
I'm the type of person who spends a lot of time researching all the alternative and competitor products, but even after doing this I decided that CodeJock was much better than the others, and decided to purchase the CodeJock products.
Nice Job on the development of all the libraries!
