Hi!
In last few days we updated our project from VS6.0 to VS2008. The application can be started using two modes, our classic design (not using Codejock Toolkit) and new RibbonBar based design. The VS6.0 build works perfectly, but the VS2008 build crashes when started in RibbonBar design mode. Here is the Error report: ######## EXCEPTION: 0xC0000005 at address: 0x7868424F: ACCESS VIOLATION read attempt to address 0x00000008 1: 06/10/08 10:05:35 1: 0 Ordinal2451 +5 bytes 1: Decl: Ordinal2451 1: SymGetModuleInfo): GetLastError = 87 1: 1 CXTPAccessible::GetChildIndex +223 bytes 1: Decl: protected: long __thiscall CXTPAccessible::GetChildIndex(struct tagVARIANT *) 1: SymGetModuleInfo): GetLastError = 87 1: 2 Ordinal2450 +40 bytes 1: Decl: Ordinal2450 1: SymGetModuleInfo): GetLastError = 87 We are binding CommandBars1200vc90.dll as shared DLL, including XTCommandBarsPro.h in the stdafx.h. The symptoms are same on each machine we tested it on, (2 Win XP machines, 1 Vista Bussines and 1 Server 2003 R2 machine). Any idea what could be wrong here? Thanks! Bojan Hrnkas |

I found the problem. In the constructor of a class derived from CXTPControlButton I called the CXTPControllButton constructor, which is a mistake I am ashamed to admit here. Sorry for the trouble!
Greets!
