This is a question for CodeJock support. I am evaluating the CodeJock Property grid, I am comparing it to another one to make a decision which to go with. I will probably use the whole suite if I decide on the Codejock components. One disadvantage of the CodeJock grid has is it does not have a string "key" available to identify a item, you can only identify items by the ID# or caption. A string key is more user friendly (for me) than a number, and the caption is often too clunky to use with the find.
The other thing(and not as important) is the other grid I am looking at has the option to have check boxes on the left side with the caption to the right of the checkbox. When it is setup like that there is no cell for value on the right so the caption area can extend past the normal caption area cell area. This is very convenient for long captions. I know with Codejock you can make the caption multilines when you need but when the caption can extend to double the width I would never need to make it multiline and I think the look and feel of it is better with the checkboxes on the right taking up just a big enough space to hold the checkbox.
Any plans on adding a "key" or is there a way to use a string key that I have not found?
