   In the case of the date item on a grid, a specific value can be specified as null and then text shown in place of the null value. I would like the same functionality for text (if blank), number (if 0), and all other items, etc
is this functionality in the pipeline at some point?

	Try pItem->CXTPPropertyGridItem::SetValue(""); to set "null" value.
