The Color property in its current state is very awkward to use, because it causes a modal dialog to pop up in order to choose a color. Most property grid implementations allow for a more intuitive, inline color dropdown instead.

Is it possible for you to implement the existing office style color selector/dropdown functionality (see http://www.codejock.com/products/toolkitpro/tour_28.asp) into the PropertyGrid control?

Is the color picker dialog only going to be exposed via the property grid color fields or will the dialog be available for non-property grid use? (eg. pop the dialog up from a menu selection)

Hi guys....... I guess this did not make it in to v10 after all :)

I'm currently building a CSS editor and would like to use the PropertyGrid control. Having this color dropdown feature would make it much nicer than the ugly modal Window color dialog!

The following 2 enhancements would also be very useful for most projects:

  • Support to display HTML or CSS colors (#rrggbb or #rgb)
  • Ability to add custom "named" colors, e.g. "Fushia #ff00ff"

Yes it looks good ... but labels are not translated in the language resources!!! and - how can we set the 'Automatic' color?
