Although stated so in the comments, CXTPMDIFrameWnd::LoadCommandBars (and the called CXTPCommandBars::LoadOptions, ...) and CXTPDockingPaneLayout::Load() only load from registry when CWinApp::SetRegistryKey() has been set. If it hasn't been set (I want to write to .INI file instead), they fail with an assertion in CWinApp::GetRegistryKey. I suggest that you add .INI file support in these functions for the next version (no big deal). In the meanwhile I will try a workaround here... |

This is a bigger deal than you think because earlier versions did support .INI files, which means if you're upgrading all of your users will lose their command bar options. I'm trying to upgrade from 9.10 to 9.81 and will need this support added before I can fully make the switch.
