   Hi,

Both your questions seem to be "problems" within RC.
So you get stuck on both matters

The field chooser is ugly as it is. Why don't you make your own? Simple task.

   Hi,

What @znakeeye means is creating your own fieldchooser, something like this
Right to Left is possible and you are able to apply own skin

 Hi,
Creating buttons in a toolwindow is indeed simple task. How about forcing the drop markers to show while dragging a button over columnheader? Do you have an example where the FieldChooser is replaced by buttons (or something else)?
Thanks

   Hi,

There seems to be no way to get the dropmarkers to show, only when using FieldChooser control itself. So you have to strike that option... Only way is to toggle visibility of the selected column but if you are going for that option I suggest you use a popupmenu to toggle visibility (I use this option myself)
Well, it's up to you to decide which option you like most
