Hi all,

I'm trying to add some controls to a report control cell other than the Buttons provided with the AddButton method. There is a sample application with an example of this which can be downloaded from the webpage but there is no source code available with that sample.

Has anyone done this and can provide us with some source code on how this is done? I eventually want the ability to drag-n-drop onto these contols as well which could make things interesting! :)

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

What kind of controls are you thinking about? There is method to get ItemRect and could be used to size and position a control. It's not going to be easy but still...

i was looking at maybe just a label, picturebox... something to help the control look like a gantt chart for scheduling. I've used merged cells at the moment an changed the back colour, but was hoping there might be something I can do with a few more funky controls.

I'm quite suprised that the sample app i've mentioned doesn't have associated source code for customers to look at...

Hi,

The sample is created with MFC so you aren't able to reproduce that.
I think you need markup for this kind of things. Try MarkupPad application and look at some possible features (checkbox, radiobutton and button) also progressbar is possible with Markup.

Thanks Aaron, will investigate Markup some more and see what can be done.
