At least there is one potential restriction for such operations in AllDayEvents area for MFC
in class CXTPCalendarControl
public BOOL m_bPreventAutoAllDayMode; // Flag to prevent dragging event into AllDay zone
public BOOL m_bReadOnlyMode; // View- and Print-only mode to use Calendar
 
read-only mode can be used in VB also

Is it possible to diasable the drag & drop of Events inside the CalendarControl?
