I populate events manually using activeX calendar in VB6
trying now to code for multiple people can the control be split while in say "week view" into 3 week views one for each of 3 selected people? |

No - you will have one week view with 3 columns in each day. You can use 3 calendar controls and load different resources (schedules, users) in each one - it will give you desired layout - you can also use tab view interface so each tab will have own calendar control
