Hi codeJockers,
We started using the codeJock activex report control (11.2.0) about a year ago as part of an interactive planningboard (1 mainscreen, 4 subscreens; all screens have 2 instances of the reportcontrol) inside a Progress 4GL application.
Recently we've encountered user messages about things slowing down when using the planningboard over a lenghty period of time during the day.
Using the windows taskmanagement we saw the memory consumption only grow -- no decrease after (e.g.) shutting down of a subscreen.
Looking at the documentation we saw the methods UseReportCustomHeap, UseBatchAllocation, FreeBatchExtraData.
We tried to use these to solve the memoryconsumption issue.
But when calling these method on the instance of the reportcontrol (exactly the same as we (successfully) use the (e.g) Populate() method) we get the errormessage that 'UseReportCustomHeap' is unknown. We get the same result if we try to call the UseBatchAllocation and FreeBatchAllocation methods.
We also tried to get the ReportControlGlobalSettings object (in the same way we get (e.g) a ReportRow object).
But the result is the same: 'unknown'.
Can anyone tell me why the result is always 'unknown' when using the reportcontrol activex control 11.2.0?
Thanks in advance for your response.
Bart.
