Toolbar spin control

   I'm trying to place an edit box/spin control into a CXTPToolBar.  Using the Common Controls sample, I am able to put the controls in the toolbar and buddy them up, but pressing the spin buttons has no effect on the value of the edit box.  I am using the XTreme Suite 8.6.  How can I make the MFC spin control work with the MFC edit box in the CXTPToolBar?
