    Posted: 04 July 2004 at 11:12am

I cannot see how to set the font of a task panel. The task panel does not seem to have a font property.

Also, the same thing applies to a docing pane, how to set font of the title.

Can anyone advise on how to do this.

In the current release (9.51) you can now change the CommandBars Font:

    Dim TextFont As StdFont
    Set TextFont = Me.Font
    TextFont.Size = 15
    TextFont.Bold = True

    Set CommandBars.Options.Font = TextFont

For the next release you will be able to change the font of the TaskPanel caption, TaskPanel Items, DockingPane Caption, DockingPane Tabs, and CommandBars TabWorkspace.

    Code for next release:

       Dim TextFont As StdFont
       Set TextFont = Me.Font
       TextFont.Size = 15
       TextFont.Bold = True

        Set CommandBars.TabWorkspace.PaintManager.Font = TextFont
        Set DockingPaneManager.PanelPaintManager.Font = TextFont
        Set DockingPaneManager.TabPaintManager.Font = TextFont
        Set TabControl.PaintManager.Font = TextFont
        Set TaskPanel.ItemsFont = TextFont
        Set TaskPanel.CaptionFont = TextFont

Please, could you add color properties to the Task Panel in future releases so I can create things that work like the new xp sp2 security center?

You are right, I just upgraded to 9.60.

However, I am still missing how I can set the colors of the "expand" button in the group caption. Is there a way?

As a suggestion, I'd love to see an additional VisualTheme for Task Panels that resemble the XP SP2 Security Center.

To be more precise, I would like to be able to extend the client area frame around the group header. When I use a color gradient inside the group caption which fades to white and then use a client border, it looks somewhat lost when it hits the white part of the caption.

Other than that, 9.60 rocks!
