tab arrows not working with TCS_VERTICAL

Hi, 
I'm developing an MDI application with multiple tabs with CXTPTabCtrl. The arrows on the tab control for scroling tabs work perfectlly when in horizontal 

but if I set the style vertical:
m_tabCtrl.ModifyTabStyle(0,TCS_VERTICAL);

everything is displaying good but the arrows don't work. The tabs aren't scrolling like in horizontal display.
What can I do to fix this?
