Is there a designer for Office 2007-style ribbon bars, perhaps along the lines of the Visual Studio resource editor? I found CommandBarsDesigner, but that appears to be geared to the older style of menus. All the other examples I have found so far build the menus from code. The folks who design the menus for my product are not programmers, so I am looking for some way for them to continue to work in a manner similar to what they are used to doing. That is, using some kind of resource editor.
If such a creature doesn't exist, has it been discussed? I could't find anything. Is there a demand? I can envision perhaps writing something that eats an XML file that contains some sort of ribbon bar definition and then spits out ribbon-building code, but I'd rather not get into that unless I have to do so. |
