Subject: Component Licensing Problem

I just bought SkinFramework Suit, after a small trial period, in wich all went well.

Installed the registered version, tested, all well.

Tried to install in another machine, my own app using the controls ofcourse, and BAM, Automation Error Can't Create ActiveX Control!

Tried to create the SkinFrameworkGlobalSettings object, again all goes well here, no errors, object creats ok. Set the License property to the apropriate license information, taken from the LIC file. Again all ok, no errors.

Try again to create ActiveX control, and again it fails with same error message, even though I've instanciated a GlobalSettings object and gotten the license information in.

Copied over the LIC files, just to make sure it was a license problem, and voilá, working perfectly again. Removed the LIC files and again I am left with a dead component.

Any other way to get it properly licensed ?

I am running this on Alaska XBase++ 1.90

This might be related to the fact that the Control itself is being created on a diferent Thread, wich can't be avoided, it'll crash if I try to set it up anywhere else.

I am waiting on support help regarding another issue (defines, Alaska XBase++ I can't access the controls enumerators, so I have no way, other than defines, to know what value goes where). But I'll try them if everything else fails.

Any help apreciated, please this is rather urgent.

Bets regards,
Paulo Gaita

This is turning out to be a rather nice day for me.

This one has also been solved, with the help of an Expert Alaska XBase++ coder whom pointed me in the right direction, a tool found in CodeProject.com, the problem has been found and solved.

Thanks for your assistance,
Best regards,
Paulo Gaita
