I am having problems with using the RibbonBar and hidden Windows taskbars.  If the user has auto-hide on the Windows taskbar and an application using a ribbon bar is maximised, they are unable to "pop" the toolbar back up.

I'm using version 10.4.2 of the Commandbar control and not doing anything particularly fancy.  I've found I can replicate the problem using the sample programs.

So, is there a way around this?

Hello,
Unfortunatelly we haven't found solution yet.
All windows without WM_CAPTION has same problem - all Ribbons in market that we tried also work same.

Is it something you are looking for a solution for or likely to find one soon?

Hello,

Afraid there no solution  :( All Windows without WS_CAPTION style (we have remove it to draw custom caption) have same problems.

Hi,

I don't want to be a pain, but no isn't the answer we need - this problem makes all of our software look badly implemented and tested.

As Microsoft are pushing the Ribbon, surely the answer should be we are talking to Microsoft to try and come up with a solution?  I know it is optimistic to think Microsoft may help, but just giving up on the problem isn't what we are after.

So what are the disadvantages of just not resetting the WS_CAPTION  style in CXTPOffice2007FrameHook? I've just tried it and the non-client area still seems to draw OK. What have I missed?

Edit: Oops - I've found some drawing glitches now when it's trying to draw highlighted state or something.

Hi,

Yes, there are a lot of glitches  if we don't remove WS_CAPTION.
