The attached file shows the differences between the popup menu created by Outlook 2003 and the one created by Xtreme Suite ActiveX 8.70 ShortcutBar.

Would you consider enhancing the ShortcutBar Popup menu to emulate the following features:

  • Menu drawn using selected theme (i.e. Office 2003) not system default
  • Add 'Add or Remove Buttons' popup menu to control which items appear
  • Add 'Navigation Pane Options' dialog window generated from 'Navigation Pane Options...' menu item
  • Add Icons to 'Show More Buttons' and 'Show Fewer Buttons'
  • The popup chevron button should stay highlighted while the popup menu is active (ShortcutBar loses highlight after popup is displayed).
  • Use 'Hand' cursor over popup chevron button instead of default 'Arrow' cursor

These features would help the tool more accurately emulate the Office 2003 ShortcutBar and continue the theme of customization present throughout the other controls in the suite.

Please let me know if I can provide any additional detail.

Boyd

As of v9.00, this functionality hasn't changed.  Any chance of getting this implemented?  I've re-attached the image outside of the ZIP file for easy viewing.

This will be added in the next release  You will have the option to override the default popup menu and display your own.

Hi SuperMario,

This is actually implemented in the current 9.51 release through the 'ExpandButtonDown' event.  I'm sure you're already running the new release, so it's hard to know what's been added and what was already there.

I guess a response after 10 months is better than no response at all .  I still appreciate you taking the effort to follow up on this.
