Hi,

I'm using Xtreme ToolkitPro 2006 Q2.
My application has several views that are based on CXTHtmlView.
When I run the application on a Windows XP with IE7 (official release) it behaves badly: Some of the tabs that are based on this view do not appear at all. And when I switch to another embedded view, that is also based on CXTHtmlView, the application crashes.
Needless to say, there are no problems with IE6.

Any idea?

Thanks,
Irit.

Hello,
can you try replace CXTHtmlView to standard CHtmlView and check if problem exists.

I found the reason for the problem, and it has nothing to do with XTP.

Thanks for the quick response,
Irit.

Can you please provide more details abot what was your solution?
I am having some troubles with CHtmlView(IE6) + CommandBars+GMail...

The problem is in the psapi.dll
We had an old version of the Dll installed with our application and placed in the application folder. This caused the application to load the old version instead of the new one which resides in the Win system folder.

Hope this helps,
Irit.

Thanks Irit.
I have nailed down the problem with my code too. In my case the problem was caused by 32bit(Alpha) icons in ToolBar. I have no idea how does it impact embedded CHtmlView, but once I converted my toolbar into 24bit color the problem is gone and webbrowser control does not crash. This is the post (yet unaswered :) )that helped me to solve my issue.
