To reproduce use the GUI_VisualStudio7 example program which came with the XTSuite and change the output window from an edit control to a CXTListBox control. Give it the WS_HSCROLL style and add many items (say 100) to it.

When you select an item in the list and use the wheel on the mouse to scroll the background of the list box is drawn black.

I have also noticed a similar problem with the property grid if you undock it, expand all the nodes, and then shrink the window so that a vertical scroll bar appears, then when you scroll using the mouse wheel to the bottom, the last partial line is drawn black.
