Subject: Showing Menu for Hidden Toolbar Buttons

I have attached a toolbar ( m_wndToolbar of type CXTPToolBar ) to a floating pane using CreateToolbar and LoadToolBar methods

Now, when the pane is resized, some of the toolbar buttons are hidden automatically.

I want the hidden toolbar buttons to appear in a context menu. I mean that there must be an extra expand button at the end of the toolbar. If the user clicks on that expand button, the rest of the hidden buttons must appear in a context menu.

The expand button appears when the toolbar is attached to Main Frame using GetCommandBars(). But it does not appear when i explicitly create CXTPToolBar object using CreateToolBar and LoadToolBar.

I cannot enable bShowExpandButtonAlways flag because m_wndToolbar.GetCommandBars returns NULL.

Please help

Regards,
Gautam Jain

Hello,

In 9.80 version you can use GetCommandBars for any CWnd derived site. See Advanced sample of it.
