I see a toolbar can have the xtpFlagSmartLayout flag set. I tried it out. What does "smart layout" actually mean? The help file simply says the same thing as the include file. It is a "smart layout" flag.

What is smart about it? I am not floating the toolbar, only allowing it to dock. So far, I see no difference at all when I add the flag to see how smart it is.

If memory serves, this flag provides ribbon-like layout behavior (e.g. resizing to make space, etc.) for regular toolbars.

See "CommandBars.SmartLayout.exe" from the CJ samples.

Thanks. That makes sense now. I just added buttons all using the same style. But the toolbar is a command bar and I could add popups and other controls like edit boxes if I wanted to.
