I think I have found a bug in the Tree Control.  I had to switch a project from using unicode to multi-byte characters, and not treating wchar_t as a built-in type, due to other dependencies.  (Both options have to be changed in conjunction to compile so I'm not sure if one or the other is the main issue.)  I am using a Tree Control with four icons, a set each for nodes and leaves.
