Is there a way to get the background color of a CommandBar when using an Office2007 images file for the CommandBars control?

Hi Jason,

Did you try:

       CommandBars.GetSpecialColor(XPCOLOR_TOOLBAR_FACE)

Hi Aaron, thanks a lot for the reply.

I have tried XPCOLOR_TOOLBAR_FACE and other (MENUBAR_FACE, amongst others). As you can see in the following examples, the colors don't match (top portion of image is CommandBars control, bottom half is the result of GetSpecialColor)

With XPCOLOR_TOOLBAR_FACE:

This is the result of XPCOLOR_MENUBAR_FACE:

This is the result of XPCOLOR_FRAME (close, but no cigar):

I forgot to mention that the CommandBar was created using the AddMenuBar() method (if that helps).

Thanks again.

Hi Jason,

Also tried STDCOLOR_BTNFACE ?

Looks like the menu background is painted with this color, at least with XP
