Replace ALL old VB6.0 controls with new one of CJ Suite Pro in all forms of a VB6 project it's a very tedious work.

Someone know something to avoid make replacing manually?

Thank.

OK, I know that my question isn't easy.

Then I will start to develop myself a utility to migrate old VB6 controls in Suite Pro ActiveX.

Regards.

Thats not so easy, i think, because some properties, methods and events are not compatible.
It's heavy to replace such controls.
Some controls (e.g. Treeview) should be placed in a picturebox to work correct.

I know this genre of problems, because some year ago I already make a similar tool which replace VB.CommandButton and VB.Frame with freeware ButtonPlus and FramePlus made by http://www.innovasys.com - www.innovasys.com  (however this controls are no longer availables).
You can view, and download also, my utility here:
http://nuke.vbcorner.net/Articoli/VB60/U2IUpdatetoInnovasys/tabid/88/Default.aspx - http://nuke.vbcorner.net/Articoli/VB60/U2IUpdatetoInnovasys/tabid/88/Default.aspx

However, the new utility is already completed at 90%

Coming soon

Thank for you attention!

Sorry, I moved discussion to Controls forum
http://forum.codejock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=16449 - http://forum.codejock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=16449
because although I own Codejock SuitePro, my actual project involve Codejock Controls only (by now...) so I think to be the best place.

In above discussion link you found a (un)complete lists of features (done) and a ToDo (something in progress).

At moment there isn't a beta-version to test it, because the project is 'work in progress'
However, when a beta-version is ready I will comunicate you in above discussion link.

Thank for your interest.

I would definitely be interested in using this for my apps.  I have one project in particular that is VERY large and having something like this to automatically "upgrade" my standard VB controls to Codejock controls would be an astronomical achievement in time-savings and convenience.

Would this utility also swap VB6-specific reserved words/commands to their Codejock equivalents where necessary?

Thanks!  And something like this will enable me to continue to use Codejock controls within my mandatory VB6/legacy applications for years to come!
