Subject: get color from the color common dialog?
Date Posted: 07 January 2010 at 11:13pm
I recently looked into using the common dialog control included with the suite of controls.

I can make the color dialog appear, but I don't know how to implement it further.

Can anyone post the code or sample on how to use the common dialog for color more in detail?

Thanks and regards in advance!

Nevermind folks, I was able to come up with the solution on my own.

Here's an example of how I used the common dialog.

First, I named the common dialog "DLG"

lets say we want to change the back color of the form.

We add a command button, name it "btnColor"
then under the click event of that button place
DLG.showcolor

Then the next line:
me.backcolor = DLG.color

I assume none of you all really know the easy way around this since there wasn't no responses but with over 10 views. But, that's what we are here for right? Learn something new everyday!

It would be good if CJ folk took all these messages and added the information to the Help files (where it should have been all the time).
