I'm using some rather old Codejock software, the Xtreme Toolkit for MFC.

I have a situation where I need to determine the checked/unchecked state of a menu item. For some reason, the state always reports unchecked unless I allow the menu to be drawn (I navigate down to it). I don't click the item (which naturally would check it), I simply allow it to be rendered.

After this point, the menu item returns the proper checked state.

Any ideas/leads I can pursue?

Thanks,
Jason G.

Hi,

You have wrong logic here.  Your application have hold state for commands and update GUI accordingly.
