Your opinion please!

When running a setup program, you see several pages. Typically:
1) Welcome Screen
2) License Agreement
3) Select Installation Folder
4) Confirm Installation
5) Installing X

Each page has a banner. By default, MSI projects come with an ugly "installation" icon - for each page. Replacing this icon with your own is of course the right thing to do, but...

Q: Is it desirable to have different banners for different pages during the setup?

Often yes.

for instance if you want it to have some sort of image about the step, or use graphics to include text.

You writing an installer product?

Thanks for your input. I've discussed this with my collegues, and most of them think one banner is desirable. Argument: "Otherwise it gets too 'jumpy'."

No, I'm not writing an installer product. Just playing a bit with deployment options... and this question came up.
