hi,

i have buy a Release of Suite Pro. after login i have download Release Version.

Question : can i install Release AND Demo on same PC ?

i did deinstall Demo Version, right ?
after "clean-up" Registry i install Release v13.0.0 with my S/N.

i do recompile my Source and start it -> CRASH?!

looking into my Code i say Demo CLSID is different from Release ? why ?
a new CLSID also meen "install" ... so all "Demo" must be "deinstall" to "upgrade" to "Release" ?

i knew that ProgID is "Codejock.XXXXX.Version" so i use SET CODEJOCK="13.0.0" and read
Envioment with my Function Version(), but who does tell it a "Newbie" ???

i´m still a "Newbie" with Licence ... we do i put it into ?
how can i make a "full" Demoversion and if need send a Runtime Licence "Key" to my Customer ?

i did have a Class Globalsettings and i read about "Lic" but i still not understand what to do for a
"Demo" and for "Release" and "my S/N" when send to "my" Customer

is there any "paper" who tell Developer how to "setup" there Envioment to make "Demo" and "Release" on same PC ?

this is what i thought, so i have deinstall Demo before and "clean-up" Registry.

but  sorry for Newbie Question : how do i have do make my Xbase++ "Wrapper"
Class for Codejock Suite which will work with "Demo" and "Release" ?

a.) "myDemo" : User did download "trail" v13.0.0 and got my "Wrapper" Class
     -> trail->CLSID ?

b.) "myRelease" : i did a Application using Codejock SkinFramework and my "Wrapper"
    -> myRelease->CLSID ?

while HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Codejock.xxxx.13.0.0 is same for "trail" and "Release"
i can not install both, right ?

next Question: there are \Styles Directory.
my "Wrapper" Sample use Globalsetting point to \Styles Directory.

while Path for "trail" and "Release" is different i like to ask how to find out
what "is running" ? try both CLSID ?

this was about CLSID, but what about "Lic" ...
yes, i did read "Files Required when Distributing Software with Codejock Components"
and Chapter "GlobalSettings License Property" again and again ...

after install "Release" and change CLSID i notize that i do not have to change
VALIDATE-CODE:xxx-xxx-xxx

i also notize in C:\Programme\Codejock Software\ActiveX\Xtreme SuitePro ActiveX v13.0.0\Bin\*.lic
Files which i did not have seen before when i used "trail" Version.
VALIDATE-CODE:yyy-yyy-yyy

Question : does i have to use yyy-yyy-yyy or xxx-xxx-xxx and is this ".Lic" ???

add b.)  (Appliaction to Customer)

i do have to send "C:\Programme\Codejock Software\ActiveX\Xtreme SuitePro ActiveX v13.0.0\Bin\Redist\"
Files too (only what need), right ?

Customer got *.CAB File where *.INF hold "my" CLSID to install *.OCX, right ?

all my Application have to access that CLSID while "trail" is "overriden", right ?

... but if "my" Application can access *.OCX ... "other" just need "my" CLSID ???

... now after some time my Customer deside to buy Codecode Suite and
install "his" Version ... what happend to "my" Xbase++ Application ?

i do have a "Init" Global Class which i can provide as Source if
a Customer is a Developer too.  it will hold "trail" CLSID ?

so please tell a Dummie again what have to Redistribute for "trail/Release"
when i give "myDemo/myRelease" to Customer.

Hi,

1. You need include only ocx files (cabs - for IE developers)
2. Trial and release versions have different GUIDS so if your customer will install Trial it will not break your application.
3. Guess best way is to copy Styles folder to your local project and use this path instead.
