Question:
Is there a way to apply a skin to the standard VB menus? Right now they just appear white.

Bug:
When using standard VB menus and certain skins, I get the following mirroring of the menu headers (you have to hover the mouse just above the menu header for the mirrored header to appear) ...

To prevent this from occurring in some of the skins, I have to use xtpSkinApplyMetrics with ApplyOptions.
.ApplyOptions = .ApplyOptions Or xtpSkinApplyMetrics

This solves the problem in ... Office2007.cjstyles and WinXP.Luna.cjstyles

However, this does not work with the following skins ... Vista.cjstyles (in any color) and iTunes. They continue to display the mirrored menu headers.

Note: I'm not interested in using CommandBars to create the menus, due to a conflict the control has with another necessary control used within my program.

Hi,

I can't reproduce the menu "bug", I thought this has been solved in one of the V12.1.... releases. See my post https://forum.codejock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=11986 - https://forum.codejock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=11986

Can you upload test project?

Thanks

I just checked, and it appears to only happen in Vista. I've replicated it on two Vista machines (but can't on XP). I attached a sample to make it easier for anyone to test.

Hi,

I tried on XP and it doesn't appear with your test project.

btw. I noticed you still have ordinary VB menu. You know it is possible to have CommandBars like menu items, right? (Same thing for system menu) without using CommandBars

I can confirm that this is a problem on Vista using 12.1.1 and the latest Vista.cjstyles and your sample.

In case CJ can't reproduce it, make sure you move the mouse over the single row of pixels immediately above the menu (and then the duplicate menu will appear in the title bar).

Hi,

This was same problem with XP in previous version of SkinFrameWork, so CJ knows what to look for

@corpcon: Satisfied with menu now? Looks great isn't it?
