MDI - child icons wrong

   I created an MDI app and show child windows as VisualStudio-like tabs. Works.
If the child documents are MDI-child forms from within the same VB project, their icon is displayed in the corresponding tab. Nice, too.
However, once I add MDI-childs from outside dlls, they all show a generic icon. What makes me wonder is that once I minimize all childs, they show correct icons so the correct icon information must be there somewhere.
Is there a way to manually set an icon for MDI child tabs?
Also, I noticed when switching between MDI childs by clicking their tabs, you see a flicker and the original child windows for a short period of time. Is there a way to prevent this?
