    Posted: 26 December 2007 at 6:53am
Hi

Ex1 (Calendar):
objThemeOffice2007.CustomIcons.AddIcons ImageManager.Icons works fine. If I use the same command a second time (because I changed some colors) no icons are displayed.

Ex2 (Commandbars):
CommandBars1.AddIcons ImageManager.Icons works fine. If I load an other toolbar with CommandBars1.LoadDesignerBars Path and then use CommandBars1.AddIcons ImageManager.Icons again the added icons are not accessible, e.g doesn't show if I use StatusBarPane.IconIndex=x.

Thanks for any help
Fabian

BTW: Nice holidays to all!

I notice that me also using the same imagemanager for many commandbars on many form if in form load event i add icons then the next time it wont work.

But instead to fix the problem I use

set commandbars.icons = imagemanager.icons

 and now work good again

Hi Marc

Thanks for your reply. Your work around does not work for me. I do:

CommandBars1.LoadDesignerBars Path
CommandBars1.Icons.AddIcons ImageManager1.Icons   <== OK
CommandBars1.LoadDesignerBars OtherPath
CommandBars1.Icons.AddIcons ImageManager1.Icons   <== NO ICONS
or
Set CommandBars1.Icons=ImageManager1.Icons   <== NO ICONS

The only way to display icons again was to store the icons on disc an load them with CommandBars1.Icons.LoadIcon...

I hope for a bug fix from CJ SOOOON!

Hi Oleg

I checked the release notes for v12. But no indication that imagemanager was changed to cure this problem. Was it missed in the docu or do you not fixed this problem???

please revert to the behaviour like pre v11
thanks

Hi Oleg

The problem was initiated since you change the ImageManager coder to save some hDC handles - I think. It is an old one and you can look at the post from DEC-27. You can reproduce it at any time:

Load XCB-command bars
add some Icons from ImageManager
Load an other command bar
try to add the same Icons of the same ImageManager control

no icons!!!

You told me earlier (Issue 15847) that this would be redesigned so the behaviour was the same as in v10

Thanks, it is really important because with v1 I have to reload all icons from disk before using it with ImageManager and that costs speed...

Sincerely
