I recommend reviewing the codejock sample code (that comes with the installation) thoroughly. You'll find examples of the new support in the XTP image manager class for loading vectors.
Unfortunately, codejock's vector support isn't quite robust enough for my needs - yet. But it's getting closer, and can handle "simpler" vector (XAML) images just fine.
