How to open Docking Pane pinned?

Starting with its button on the pane manager bar, I want to open a docking pane in "pinned" mode so that it does not self-hide. The reasons for that are 1) so the view resizes itself and 2) the user can work with the docking pane and the view together.

Then I want to close it using the X button, but not delete it. That way its button remains on the pane manager bar to use again.

How?

You need to turn off "closeable" --- I do it in OnDockingPaneNotify, like this:
 




int nFlag = xtpPaneNoCloseable; // xtpPaneNoHideable, xtpPaneNoFloatable;


DWORD dwOptions = pPane->GetOptions();




dwOptions |= nFlag; //5.10 always OR in the xtpPaneNoCloseable....


pPane->SetOptions(dwOptions);
