I know it is harder to maintain, but between two major releases most customers expect at least a few hotfix releases. It is really painful to wait on a particular fix for half a year.

One new build each month would be greatly appreciated by us Codejock users. Certainly we would not expect new features, but fixes are sometimes even more important. If you want to keep things simple you could add a "Thunk"-area for all registered users, where you put downloadable diff-files.

Your product is excellent, but please have this in mind when releasing 12.0.

Thanks!

I agree wholeheartedly!  Here's why.

Some of us I am sure have purchased an annual subscription to these controls vs. the 30 day short-term subscription licenses.

What is the benefit of purchasing 1-year maintenance/subscription licenses if the updates are so far and few between.  I think for us developers that are willing to pay for the updates and maintenance releases, WE should be allowed to decide if we want to install hotfixes or pre-release, fully untested versions because sometimes our critical paths require we take the risk and install software that addresses one very important fix instead of having to wait 6 months for full functionality that we may not even need in the short term.

Just my opinion.

That's exactly what I have in mind.

So you all would be happy with a beta build each month?

When we do an official release we have well over a month of preparation that goes into this process.  Even making one code change requires allot of additional testing across many different platforms.

We would definately prefer this as it would allow us to test newer features/fixes more often and if an important fix was added we could decide if we should or should not go live as some fixes are just needed before the final release.

But as always, keep up the fantastic work, its a great library and saved us so much in development costs.

If anybody would like to see our current app and give us some feedback please download from http://www.my-software.co.uk/temp/an-setup.exe

SuperMario, bug fixes would only require diff-files to be downloadable for those who desperately need them. You would not need to create new package/installer/documentation each time.
