Does anybody know which file office 2007 stores it's icons inside, as we want to extract some others which are not shipping with XTP

Any help much appreciated.

Thank you,

Hi,

we didn't find them :-( Think Word stores them in some special format.

Is it ok to use the icons supplied with XTP in a commercial product, even thou some are from Office 2007.

Here is a script I wrote to extract all of the Office 2003 icons - http://ark42.com/prog/win/office2003icons/ExtractOffice2003icons.zip

It may work without any changes on Office 2007 - please let me know if it does. I'd be interested in seeing the final set of icons it extracts too.

If you want to run the included *.vbs to combine all the *.bmp into one big *.png file, you also need http://ark42.com/freeimage/alphahlp.exe

Many of those in Word.zip are upscaled (blurred) 16x16 icons saved as 32x32, and basic ones like regular old Save are missing. I'm not sure where they came from, as my script just dumps out numbered files like 00002.bmp and stuff.
You can edit the *.bas and change the top lines from 16 to 32 if you want it to extract 32x32 size instead. Then re-import it to the macro editor and run it.

Nice icons indeed! But I suppose they are copyright © Microsoft and cannot be used. Right?
