I have a problem with saving and restoring the pane layout when one of the panes is auto-hidden. I let the user create as many panes as they want, each with a view onto the data. When the program starts up, I do not create any panes, I just have the standard MFC view. I load the layout. The view is created and attached in the XTP_DPN_SHOWWINDOW OnDockingPaneNotify handler. This works fine unless any of the panes was auto-hidden, it crashes in CXTPDockingPaneBase::GetDockingPaneManager, the "this" pointer is invalid.

Is there a way around this?

Regards,

David
