Hi,

we (especially our customers) are experiencing more and more application crashs of our software.
Whereas we are having a support contract with codejock nobody is responding to our tickets Angry
My last hope is that someone from the community have any hints.
If not, I think we have no other choice then to completely remove all Codejock Controls from our software.

But back to the problem ...

Our Customers are experiencing application crashs which were caused 60% of the time by Codejock.SkinFramework.Unicode.v16.4.0.ocx (according eventlog).
The other 40% are mfc42u.dll, msvbvm60.dll, kernelbase.dlland some other.

We collected crashdumps according msdn ( https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/chaun/2013/11/12/steps-to-catch-a-simple-crash-dump-of-a-crashing-process/ ) and analyzed some of them. And even if the faulting module is at this time kernelbase.dll it seems that it is caused by SkinFramework

I have attached some detail Information.

Any Hints on how to analyze this deeper or how to fix it?
Currently we are trying to update to Codejock 17.2 but their are also some problems which have to be analyzed first.

Regards
Maik

I experienced the same type of problems, but only when using the Unicode versions of the components (v16.3)

So I decided to use a mix of Unicode and non unicode versions in my installation.
Only for the CommandBars and Controls Suite I use the unicode versions
For all other components I use the "normal" version.

I use the following:
Codejock.CommandBars.Unicode.v16.3.0.ocx
Codejock.Controls.Unicode.v16.3.0.ocx
Codejock.ChartPro.v16.3.0.ocx
Codejock.DockingPane.v16.3.0.ocx
Codejock.ShortcutBar.v16.3.0.ocx
Codejock.SkinFramework.v16.3.0.ocx
Codejock.TaskPanel.v16.3.0.ocx

If I use all "normal" then no problems, if I use all "unicode" then random crashes
If I use the mixed setup then no problems.

VB6 SP6, SuitePro 16.3.0 / 18.2.0, Win10/64
