VB6: Original-menus and commandbars

My situation:

We want to
bring some fresh paint into an VB6-Project…

I see that
the Commandbars-Control takes the originalmenus from the form und also calls
the right events when clicked (which is quite nice)

But the
Problems are:

-The
VB6-Menus are Translated into another language, but the commandbars-menu only
shows the captions from the design-time

-Some
Menuitems are enabled, some are disabled, but the Commandbars-menu shows them
all enabled 

I looked
into the data of the commandbar-control but I down see a proper way to remap an
original VB6-menuitem to the commandbar-item, so that I can change the caption
and enabled state myself.

Any
suggestion, or should I just rebuild the menus from scratch?
