Hello,

for documentation reasons I would like my application to create snapshots of the main window, menu, panes etc.

This is no problem for the main window and the panes, but
how can I capture the menus ?

Is there a way to popup the main menu items and take a snapshot of the whole menus ?

How can I achive that ?

Regards,
Alex

Menus are implemented different ways be different applications. I have a screen shot utility that I believe will handle what you want (it also handles the Vista Aero shadows properly). Private message me, or email me at severian at severian dot org and I'll give you more information.
