I change the look and feel of all the predefined VisualThemes by first setting the .VisualTheme and then changing all of the ColorSet attributes to whatever colour I need. It is at the Taskpanel level and not definable at each individual group level.
Changing the Border to White is an option.
e.g. TaskPanel1.ColorSet.NormalGroupClientBorder = vbWhite
