Then I noticed I could get the same behaviour with the sample application (as seen above). The top image is when the application starts up (which is how I thought it should look). The bottom image can be duplicated by switching the theme to "Office 2003" and then back to "Office 2007". I was expecting it to go back to the original look... |

Check the StylerBrowser sample, the above screenshot is the Ribbon theme while the other one is the Office2007 theme.

Thanks for the info - it makes a lot more sense now that I've taken a look at the Stylebrowser sample.
Right now the Shortcut bar sample comes up with the Ribbon theme, but in the menu the "office 2007" item is checked. I think the menu needs an additional "Ribbon" entry, so that it would be possible to flip back and forth between all of them (like you can in the StyleBrowser sample). |
